About High Tea

Mos Cafe has taken a traditional afternoon tea and coupled it with the historical backdrop of the Museum of Sydney, which is on the site of Sydney's original Government House, and Mos Cafe's modern Australian menu to create a unique weekend experience: High Tea at Mos Cafe.

Traditionally, sandwiches, scones and sweets are accompanied with a selection of loose leaf tea brewed in a teapot and served in teacups with milk and sugar. The ribbon sandwiches include fillings of cucumber, smoked salmon and egg. We served our High Tea on a three tiered food stand as the centre piece to the table. A modern twist is to make it a champagne High Tea which Mos Cafe has embraced as we are fully licensed.

The cafe’s sandstone, marble and glass interior spills out onto a wide, open forecourt, making it a perfect outdoor dining venue for your next High Tea experience. The café’s sleek interior has a stylish bar and a communal table made from 4000 year old ancient red gum. Group bookings for High Tea are encouraged and allows a great setting and experience to catch up with friends, a pre theatre meal, mark a special occasion or explore the High Tea expereince for first timers.

Mos Cafe is fully licensed with an extensive but predominantly Australian wine list that will cater for all tastes and 30 available by the glass. Coupled with a modern cocktail and champagne list and a ‘drink only’ bar license Mos Cafe is a fantastic setting for any celebration.

Positioned in the heart of the financial district and captures Sydney’s historical past being located on the site of the earliest foundations of British colonisation. Moments from Circular Quay, the harbour Bridge, the Opera House and the city’s buzzing nightlife.

Ideally located at the Museum of Sydney, the public transport terminals for ferries, buses and trains located at Circular Quay are a short stroll to MoS Café. There is metered parking available in the surrounding streets and also in nearby parking stations at the InterContinental Hotel, The Sir Stamford Hotel and Young Street.
